Mr. Schreckinger is a partner with Byrne & O’Neill. He has more than 20 years of experience litigating various construction related matters on behalf of design professionals in Federal and State trial and appellate courts in New York and New Jersey as well as before arbitration panels and various administrative tribunals. He also counsels and represents clients in transactional matters, including negotiating and drafting construction contracts, software licensing agreements, confidentiality and non-disclosure agreements, copyright assignments, and termination agreements. Mr. Schreckinger also counsels clients on other business-related matters, such as recommending corporate structures to design firms seeking to practice out of state, responding to claims by the Business Software Alliance (“BSA”) and providing risk management advice.

Mr. Schreckinger earned his undergraduate degree at the State University of New York at Binghamton in 1992 and he received his Juris Doctorate from Touro College in 1995, where he was a Research Editor on the Law Review. Mr. Schreckinger is admitted to the bars of the State of New York and the U.S. District Courts, Southern and Eastern Districts and the State of New Jersey.

He is also a member of the American Council of Engineering Companies and the American Bar Association and has been a guest lecturer at the Parsons School of Design since 2005 where he lectures on such topics as: the legal duty owed by architects, language of AIA agreements, avoidance of problems on construction projects and New York State’s Board of Education regulations.
